Fotofacial, Facial Vein & Age SPot Treatments

FotoFacial™ pulsed light treatments restore a natural, youthful beauty to your skin with no downtime.

These treatments are full face, neck, hands and/or chest treatments using pulses of visible light that effectively improve facial redness and flushing as well as the visible signs of sun damage and aging. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles, freckles and irregular pigmentation.

Treatments help  to smooth skin and reduce pore size. People who suffer from rosacea see a reduction in their overall redness, flushing and dilated capillaries as well as reap the benefits of improvement in the breakouts of this common facial condition.

Specific settings are selected for each treatment to maximize improvement. A series of five or more treatments are performed at three-week intervals.

Facial Vein Treatments

Over time, aging, trauma, sun exposure and certain lifestyle factors cause a number of them to break appearing as red streaks or blotches on the face.

IPL and/or laser therapy can successfully treat dilated blood vessels without injuring the surrounding skin.Unsightly spider veins on the legs can also be treated with the same modalities.

Age Spots

Although most brown spots are easily ignored, many are quite conspicuous and can detract from your skin’s natural beauty. Melanin is what gives our skin its color.

Whether dark or light complected, we all have varying amounts of melanin. Pigmented lesions are dark in color simply because melanin is abnormally concentrated in one area of the skin. High concentrations of melanin can be due to various factors. Some types are present at birth, but most occur with age or as a result of overexposure to the sun’s damaging rays.

Pigmented lesions can be successfully lightened or removed with modern Intense Pulsed Light technology. Dr. Meyers, along with Certified Laser Technician and Licensed Esthetician, Donna Lee, can identify your specific type of lesion and discuss the removal success rate associated with it. Important: The IPL skin care procedure cannot be used for the removal of lesions that are cancerous or suspected of being cancerous. If there is any doubt, Dr. Meyers will discuss the appropriate treatment methods with you.
